When you do find one, you have to feed quarter coin into the machine a quarter for every 10 minutes parking. The problem is finding a quarter coin and running back to the meter to fill in more coins when the time is nearly expired. The newer meter is now accepting a dollar bill; five, ten, and twenty dollar bill but not hundred dollar bill yet. Life is a little bit easier not having to find quarter but still have to run back to the machine to refill if you need more time. I don’t have problem with finding quarter because I have a bag full of quarters in my grove compartment but I still have problem running back to the meter to refill for more times. Particularly when I am in 80+ stories building, waiting for the elevator and get to the meter take times. I sometime get a parking ticket $60 to $100 fine. I heard from some other people that they car got towed and have to pay nearly a $1000 to get their car back from the police impound.
Finally, the newest generation of parking meters is arrived. All I have to do is to call the number and tell the automate system to charge the parking fee into my cell phone bill. Fifteen minutes before the expiration time, I got the call from the computer automate system asking me whether to refill the time or to ignore and start walking back to my car and leave.
It is nearly perfect but not yet. I would rather hear the nice female voice or the authoritative male voice telling me the time nearly expire than the mono tone computer voice. I hate speaking to a machine. I rather hear from a human telling me that I am stupid than having a machine telling me that I am stupid. I reserve my right to let people call me a stupid but not a stupid computer call me a stupid. What do you think?

Study found that increase carbon dioxide in water corresponding to rising sea temperature and increased atmospheric carbon dioxide can enhance ability of the lobsters, crabs, and shrimp to transform carbon dioxide into shell material faster. As a result, they grow larger. The problem is as the level of carbon dioxide increase the level of acidity in the water also increases. High acidity level in water stunts the growth of clams, scallops, and oysters. And clam is a major food source of crabs and lobster. Now, can you imagine what will happen to crabs and lobsters when you cut off their food supply? For those of you who enjoy lobsters and crabs, I hope this is probably a good reason for you to stop pollute and concern more about global warming issue. What do you think?

Thing is getting better for me. I start to recover my lost profit from my foreign investment after the report came out that most of the European banking passed the stress test. But it is kind of slow. I anticipate having to wait until the end of this to recover all my lost profit. Up to this point, I think I made a right decision waiting rather than cut the lost and move on someway else.
The problem is why recovery is so slow even through many companies announced their profit more than expectation. After reading through many published, only one that makes sense to me is employment. Many companies try to increase their profit by cut spending (lay off, cut hour, pay cut, etc). As the result profit increase but unemployment is also increase. Increase unemployment lowering consumer confident. Consumer tends to save money instead of spending and therefore result in bad future prospective. I think that is why even through many companies declare larger profit than expected. Their stock price remained unchanged or even went lower.
As you know, investor not only wants company to make profit but sustainable profit. Sustainable profit does not come from cut spending but come from more sell and more production. Less sell and production mean more unemployed. Unemployment reduces consumer confident result in decrease in sell and production. How can you get out of this cycle? Do you wonder why President Obama often mentioned about unemployment? And why Fed is still spending economic stimulation package?
Tell me how would you manage your investment? Put your money in the save place like Certificate of Deposit insured by FDIC or government bond that earn very little and miss buying good stock at discount price or putting your money in good stock at discount price that have a good potential to earn more and risk losing more in the process. As for me, I did both for now. It‘s going to be a longtime before I purely invests in stock only like I once did.
It is the end of the quarter. I have more time to enjoy reading philosophy, economic and business, public policy, and others that I like.
Today is the first day that Arizona implementing immigration law that it just passed a few months ago. What do you think will happen? Next time, I go to Grand Canyon, I probably have to carry my passport with me to prove my legal residency. It is sad to blame immigrant for the current economic problem when this country is found on immigrant. What do you think?

I just heard on the radio about Monday meatless (Stop eating meat on Monday) campaign during my trip to farm equipment supply store to buy a 30 gallon planting pot for my new orange tree. Apparently, producing meat consumes more water than producing meat. Stop eating meat one day a week on Monday would be able to save a lot of water as the result less harm to an environment. I don’t know how far we have to go for the sake of conserving our environment. I think this is an animal lover campaign hiding behind the environmental campaign. Do you agree? In my mind, the best way to minimize environment effect is to minimize human population that is the source environmental effect in the first place. What do you think? Do you like my idea of reducing human population?
I purchased this orange three from the City of Moorpark orange orchard. Worker at the orchard told me that it is the same variety that I often purchased. I plan to grow it in the pot because I wanted to make sure I can treat it with care. I plan to enjoy the best orange money can buy the next season. Do you think I will get to enjoy the best orange the next orange season?
While I was at the farm equipment supply store, I purchased RoundUp to kill weed and Malathion to kill insect in my front yard and back yard. As you can see, I like organic idea but I am not too much into it. I believe organic is the luxury item that should come in to concern after human race can extinguish the starvation from every corner of the planet earth. In my opinion, human species should come first. Do you think we should take some risk for the sake of better life? I do. I saw the sign at the farmer equipment supply store said “After December 2010 (this year), store cannot sell Malathion to the public anymore (New government Regulation)”. I may have to come back before the end of this year to stock up a few can before the new law is enforced. After that I may have to consult my fellow entomologist and plant pathologist at CMU for advices. Or I have to dig up my text book to review pest control techniques. Which one do you think I should do?

Psychiatrist found that bad gene is a reason for children bad behavior. The reason is two children with the same parenting grownup to be opposite extreme. What else can be the reason except gene?
For age, parent always blame themselves for their children bad behavior. Now parent can have a good reason to excuse for their parenting failure. “It is a gene and I cannot help it” Very soon, you can kill someone and put the blame on the gene.
What would you rather believe? Bad parenting or bad gene contributes to the children bad behavior.
In my opinion these psychiatrist drew conclusion too soon. After all there are also other factors other than gene. Friends, teacher, and food can also have an effect on the children behavior. Can you name me any other factors that can have an effect on children behavior other than gene?
